About the Nordonia Hills

A friendly look at the communities we call home — their story, their people, and the facts.

The Nordonia Hills are a cluster of neighboring communities in northern Summit County, Ohio — the City of Macedonia, the Village of Northfield, and Sagamore Hills Township — set between Cleveland and Akron along the eastern edge of the Cuyahoga Valley. They share the Nordonia Hills City Schools, whose teams are the Knights, and the name “Nordonia” itself blends NORthfield and maceDONIA. Together these communities are home to roughly 27,000 residents (2020 census).
